An extinguisher that's been discharged, partially used, or has lost pressure can almost always be recharged for a fraction of the cost of replacement. We'll inspect, advise, and execute the cheapest path that gets you back to full compliance.
Recharge is the answer when: the cylinder is in good condition, the unit is under 6 years old, and it's still under hydrostatic test date.
Replacement is required when: the cylinder is damaged or corroded, hydrostatic test date has expired (every 12 years for most units), or the unit type is no longer code-appropriate for the hazard.
From a 5lb ABC at the front desk to a 20lb high-flow propane unit, we carry parts, agents, and replacement units in our service vehicle.
No upsell. We diagnose, then recommend whichever costs less.

For most non-specialty units, yes. Specialty agents (clean agent, K-class) may need shop service depending on the unit. We handle pickup and return so you're never without coverage.
Standard ABC recharge takes about 15 minutes per unit on-site. Hydrostatic testing requires shop service and a 1 to 2 day turnaround. We supply loaner units to maintain compliance during testing.
The cylinder is condemned and replaced. We carry replacement inventory for common types so you're back to full compliance in the same visit when possible.
